ITP 2012: Day 1 – Lina Abdel Kader

Along the Bristol Bridge, to the broad street, across the Christmas steps and all the way up to the Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery, the four of us walked in absolute astonishment of Bristol’s shops and streets.

After a warm welcoming, Katherine Coleman gave us a brief presentation about the British Museum’s ITP. Then we got to meet Ray Barnett who gave us a rather exiting tour of Bristol’s collections and galleries, we also got a sneak peek of the back stage magic.

Then, lunch at the café, meet most of the staff and just experiencing the galleries again. Esengul and I went to the world cultures department store and later we visited the Asian collection.

The introductory day was an overwhelming day and a fascinating experience, I can’t wait for more.
