On Saturday 16th, Huda, Makbule and I took the train to York city where Mr Bryan Stich and his lovely wife Christine were waiting for us.
We walked along the city down to the Yorkshire museum that has objects ranging from prehistoric periods up to the twentieth century, and collections covering archaeology, biology, geology, and astronomy.
Afterwards, we had lunch and we went to visit the Jorvik Viking Center where we had a journey through the reconstruction of Viking-Age streets as they would have looked 1000 years ago. We could experience all sights, sounds and smells of Jorvik while exploring the streets.
After the afternoon tea, we went straight to the Clifford’s tower where we enjoyed a very nice panoramic view of the city and walked back to the train station right through the city walls.
I was amazed by the beauty of this city and how it still preserves its ancient look, houses and streets.
Finally, I want to thank Bryan and Christine for this unforgettable journey.
